Ok so soccer fans – its USA vs MEXICO Sat night, 9:30 on Fox Sports 1 for all the Marbles. Winner wins the CONCACAF CUP and advances to the Confederation’s Cup the year before the next World Cup. Win and the loss in the Gold Cup this summer and destruction at the hands of Brazil last month don’t matter. Lose and the leadership of US soccer and Jurgen Klinnsman’s role as Manager of the US team is in question as we head into World Cup Qualifications next month. To say Saturday night’s game is huge is an understatement. In other news we have European Qualifiers starting this Thurs thru next Tuesday and the US U-23s have moved out of group play in Olympic Qualifying in the US.
High School Sectionals begin this week – with the #1 Ranked in the US and Indiana Carmel High Ladies (14-0-2) hosting Sectionals at CHS Murray Stadium – they play Westfield Thurs at 7 pm with the finals on Saturday at 7 pm.
